PC repair does not have to break the bank.
Let Me Help You.
Greetings! Welcome to my new website! My name is Don Gifford, and I've spent almost four decades working in the computer industry. I am based in Northville, NY, and specialize in providing a personalized approach to homeowners and vacationing families. If you're looking for this kind of service, please continue reading.
In 1983, I started my career as a Computer Operator (74D) in the US Army. After serving in the military, I worked at Wegmans in Rochester, NY, and later at Key Bank in Albany, NY. I am currently employed at Capital Region BOCES. Working with computers is my passion, and I've provided home PC repair services over the years. As I approach retirement, I have decided to make it a more formal business.
In addition to home PC repairs, I will be offering technology classes for senior citizens. These classes will be customized to cater to their needs, and you can find more information about them on my website, www.eztechclassrooms.com. The aim of these classes is to help seniors understand and use today's amazing devices that help us stay connected with family members worldwide.

Due to the COVID pandemic, I had not been taking on any "side jobs." However, I was recently approached to examine a computer at the Wells VAC as it was running very slow. Since I have a soft spot for EMS (my wife is an ICU RN), I agreed to take a look. During my initial visit, I discovered that the PC was old and tired, and their WiFi was outdated, still running on DSL. As they are a volunteer organization doing admirable work, I decided to refurbish a Dell i5 desktop by adding 8GB of RAM and an SSD, which I then donated to the cause.
I installed the "newer" PC, configured the "scan to folder" feature on their copier, migrated their data, and established a LAN connection. Although they will be transitioning to fiber soon, Volunteer Mark was delighted with the increased speed. This experience prompted me to start my own small business, catering to organizations like the Wells VAC and individuals who cannot afford services from Best Buy Geek Squad or $125/hour "experts." While I did earn some "radio money" for my cause, the satisfaction of helping them out was worth far more.
I am grateful to Mr. S. for sparking this idea in me.
